The Aurive social cooperative - Italy

- “The province looks to the future”; a project supported by the European Fund for the Extra European citizens. The project was addressed to 15 young people (youth extra europe immigrants) who took part to the following training paths: -italian courses; -debates and round tables on citizenship issues (such as constitutional rights, democratic legality, and the history of migration)-e-learning working groups, shared with some youngsters living in Dakar; Senegal;

Rightchallenge - Associação Portugal
The Rightchallenge Association develops a social intervention promoting institutional training of social actors (adult educators, VET professionals, social workers and volunteers). Our goal is qualifying stakeholders for an effective intervention and for strengthening of the social sector. The North Region of Portugal presents characteristics of social vulnerability in three areas:
Education and Training,
Employment,
Social Inclusion
The successive crises (from the international financial crisis to the sovereign debt crisis) penalized the economy of the Northern Region. Between 2008 and 2013 the employment rate of the population aged 26-64 years decreased to 65.5% and the unemployment rate increased to 16.1%. Among young people aged 18-25, unemployment reached 32.8%. In Lousada council 28,5% of the working population has the qualification level I or lower and 54% of the working population has the
qualification level II or lower. This means that 82,5% of the working population necessities a very high level of priority intervention.
There is a spatial concentration of:
(i) situations of poverty and social exclusion;
(ii) high unemployment rates;
(iii) situations of social marginalization;
Resolving these phenomena of persistent poverty and social exclusion has to involve several policies including education, employment, social action, health and housing. With this in mind, Rightchallenge develops policies of education and social integration, which are essentials to face all these issues.
We provide a wide range of services such as:
• Human Resources development and capacity building in the fields of education, VET, labour and employment;
• Gender issues;
• Migration, Integration, and Social Justice;
• Entrepreneurship;
• Environment and sustainable development.

InterAktion - Verein für ein interkulturelles Zusammenleben - Austria
InterAktion is a an organisation active in the field of human rights, youth policies, integration of migrant families and refugees, aiming to encourage intercultural dialogues between the people from different backgrounds and cultures through non-formal educational methods. The organisation promotes active citizenship and voluntarism among the people in Styria, and contributes to the selfdevelopment and the inclusion of the marginalized groups and people at risk. With the refugee crisis in Europe, InterAktion is focused on building bridges between the local population and the refugees.
Moreover, we aim at reducing the number of refugees without proper education, by providing them with language training, non-formal education and organised activities with the local community aiming cultural exchange and breaking the stereotypes. The founding of InterAktion results from a defined need for additional support of refugees during their process of integration. We would like to achieve better results by exchanging views, experiences and approaches with different organisations and cross sectorally from Austria and other European countries. Members of InterAktion are working directly with the refugees on local level in Trofaiach, Austria. They provide
different activities for the group, from the arrival and getting to know each other, to team-building, sports activities, sexual education, human rights education, cultural happenings and events with the locals. With these activities we bring the refugees closer to the culture and the people in Austria, learn the language and integrate faster and more successfully, in order to get a chance to enroll back in the educational system or get employment opportunities after turning 18. We aim to create aware
and those who had the misfortune to be forced to move out of their own countries. We encourage young people to volunteer with different organisations, we have already successfully recruited two young refugees into the activities of InterAktion, both of them are working now with us as group leaders and facilitators during youth exchanges.
InterAktion has organized several exchanges and training courses on the topic of active citizenship. Their members are experienced youth workers and volunteers themselves. InterAktion is working closely together with people volunteering with the Red Cross, Caritas and other socially active organisations. Our organization is a good example of established networks and successfulcooperation between the civil society, the private and the public sector. Volunteering can be for many people something meaningful and can bring satisfaction and progress, which is why we are engaging volunteers (adults) in our work on the local level. We do not have the EVS accreditation yet, because we realized that for overcoming the challenges we face when working with unaccompanied minor refugees it is more important to engage local volunteers, who would support young refugees in their process of integration. We do organize international projects also, especially training courses and youth exchanges, to show different perspectives and cultures to the people we are working with and are not able to travel, however, the main focus is with the local volunteers.
On the other hand we are also engaging unemployed adult refugees as volunteers in our activities to give them meaningful and responsible tasks and promote inclusion.
