Timing
The project will last 24 months, with local and international activities.
The following main activities will be performed:
- 6 transnational meetings (with elements from all the countries involved) wil take place in the various countries involved, for project management and coordination;
- Mapping and Survey phase (statistics, challenges, good practices);
- local events and actions in each for dissemination of the project and its results (nternet facilities of the partner will be utilized; informative meetings, verbal presentations will be performed to sustain the outcomes of the project).
The activities will result in the following outcomes:
-guide on best practices in the use of social and cultural volunteering as a tool for adult education
-guidelines and suggestions for the coaching of training programs trhough volunteering : Place, Train, Maintain, monitor volunteers
-collection of best existing educational resources available to empower low qualified adults with active citizenship skills through volunteering
At the end of the project, we at least 120 adult educators acquire skills and knowledge about volunteers coaching, and have intention to work as volunteers coaches or be trainers of traininer to better use volunteering as a tool for personal skills empowerment.
Specifically the participating adults will have gained skills for working with low qualified adults,
including tutoring and teaching skills, modeling skills, problem solving skills, active and nonjudgmental listening skills, and conflict resolution skills; and will have developed a stronger sense of social responsibility and feel further committed to volunteerism
- The trainers in adult education will have gained the necessary skills and be introduced to the necessary tools that will enable them to implement the volunteers mentoring model proposed in the project;
- The participant organisations will have developed their capacity on implementing social and cultural volunteering coaching/mentoring programs with low qualified adults, as well issues such as project implementation, international cooperation, strategic development, and internationalization;
- Public authorities will have an increased understanding of the problems and needs of the low qualified adults with regards to integration into the labor market; will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of transferable models, which will ensure an easier adaptation of the model by the public authorities if they want to implement it in the future.
